Things are starting to come together...

It's been a productive week for the Team. We've added two new team members. All team members have chosen which leg they are traveling on (our teams are traveling in two groups to accommodate schedules). Our fundraising has begun to gain momentum. We have found and purchased airline tickets that save us over $600 each! Just like last summer, it's incredible to see God at work in this mission - He gives us exactly what we need when we need it.

I'm excited at the opportunity afforded to us through our plane tickets. We'll be on one of the longest commercial flights in the world as we fly 16 hours to the middle eastern economic capital of Dubai. I'm looking forward to seeing this rapidly-growing city from the sky! From there, it's a relatively short 4 hour hop over the Arabian Sea to Chennai.

The team size is now up to ten people, but we're prepared to bring as many as twenty. There's still some time to be a part of this life-changing experience. Do you have what it takes? Do you have the courage?

You know how to reach us.

60 days out

It's now 60 days to the departure of Group One of the 2009 CNH District India Mission Team. We've added Pastor Gary Bell from Benecia, Karl Lipscomb from the 2008 Team has committed to return with us, and Dana Baker from Zion San Luis Obispo will be with us for her first mission trip as well. We have a couple of other folks we're talking with who are very close to committing also.

There's a lot to be done prior to departure, and today had our first weekly meeting of Team leadership to work on the "To-Do" list. We've gathered info for our first big step, purchasing our air tickets, and hope to make that move by the end of this week.

Josh is putting information and forms on the Team Member resources section of the website, which is saving us from having to send or email those things out to the team.

We have scheduled our Training Day for July 11th in Paso Robles, and will complete the day with dinner at an Indian restaurant in SLO.

There's still room for you if you want to be a part of this ministry; the clock is ticking and there is much work to be done. But we added Bryan last year a week and a half prior to departure, and when God calls those to the mission the things get done that need to get done. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare.
